Drainage repairs to Golden Grove Lane

A Boone County Public Works crew has been working on Golden Grove Lane in unincorporated Boone County to correct a drainage problem. A natural spring causes the properties’ sump pumps to run constantly with the water draining into the street. Unfortunately this results in an algae problem in the summer and thick ice to form in the winter. The crew has placed a perforated pipe that is connected to the sewer system along the side of the road to collect the water and drain it correctly.
